You are invited to join members of Vistage for their next speaker session, led by Matt Tice on “Mobilising resources in uncertain and volatile times “
Matt Tice has been Vistage speaker of the year and is renowned for his hard-hitting sessions on business strategy and response to disruption. He has been a regular visitor to my groups for many years, always bringing different and deep thinking in terms of strategic response to the outside world.
Time is your scarcest resource
As we experience ever more (exponential) change strategies need to adapt accordingly. One of the concepts that Matt will introduce is the “Theory of Constraints”, a concept which enables focus in the even most complex of challenges.
Time is your scarcest resource, yet leaders consistently undervalue this resource in comparison to all other resources often to their detriment. Mobilisation of limited resources (including time) to achieve outcomes consistent with the organisations' strategy and financial goals is one of the most important roles a leader plays.
The ability to prioritise, understand and manage constraints, and balance "slow" and "fast" tensions at play to get things done in the enterprise are critical skills that leaders need to develop, hone, and perfect over time. This has never been more important as competition, market forces, and technology moves at an ever-faster pace.
We will explore these challenges and bring case examples and methods such as Theory of Constraints to help leaders cut through the noise and focus with intention on the things that matter, faster.
