Most conversations about AI for business sit at one of two extremes: hype or fear. This session cuts through both. Drawing on more than a decade building offshore teams for Australian businesses, and on Hyvid's current work integrating AI into those teams, Rob sets out a practical framework for where the combination of global talent and AI genuinely delivers, where it does not yet, and how mid-market leaders can tell the difference.
Rob will work through real examples and will finish with the specific questions a CEO or owner can take back to their own business. The aim is a clear, experience-backed view leaders can act on, not a sales pitch.
About Robert Hynes
Rob Hynes is Co-Founder of Hyvid, an AI-integrated offshore staffing business based in Brisbane.
Rob brings two perspectives to this subject. He spent approximately twenty-five years as founder and managing partner of Hynes Legal, a Brisbane commercial law firm, so he understands the operating pressures on a professional services business. He then founded Diversify Offshore Staffing, initially to support his legal practice, and then scaled that business to more than 1,500 staff. In 2022 he sold the business, anticipating that AI would fundamentally reshape how offshore teams were built and run.
Hyvid is the next-generation model for offshore staff: combining global talent with AI to build teams that are faster and more capable, rather than simply cheaper. He works with mid-market and enterprise clients across sectors including professional services, health, recruitment and retail, and speaks from direct commercial experience rather than theory.
Vistage members are high-integrity business leaders from a diverse range of industries who meet monthly to support each other and address the challenges of leading in these increasingly uncertain times.
The speaker session is the first part of a monthly all-day meeting and is attended by between 14 and 16 people. During the afternoon, Vistage members continue with their Executive Session. Our speakers are subject experts focused on stimulating active discussion with the group.
