You are invited to join members of Vistage for their next speaker session, led by Adair Donaldson on “Business Killers

Business Killers

Many businesses don’t consider the consequences of breaches of codes of conduct, bullying, casual racism, sexual harassment, and domestic violence can have on their businesses. They cross their fingers and hope for the best, risking financial and productivity losses along with a decline in staff morale and workplace culture.

In this session you will gain an insight into the impacts of workplace misconduct and what you can do as a business community to proactively address these issues, not only to ensure you are complying with the law, but what we all can do as a business community to create lasting cultural change.

In the interactive workshop Adair will draw on his experience working with organisations like the National Rugby League, the Australian Defence Force and Universities Australia to explore how businesses can take proactive steps to minimise the impact that bullying, discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and DFV can have on those businesses.

The session is engaging, thought provoking and entertaining. It is a chance for businesses to take time to reflect and learn from others’ experiences through the power of storytelling

At the end of the session attendees will have a clear understanding as to whether their current policies and training regimes are effective in minimising the impact of potential claims that are discussed in the workshop.

Learning outcomes

  • A comprehensive understanding of the compliance requirements and the tangible and intangible costs to an organisation that fails to address issues around sexual harassment, harassment, bullying, breach of contract and gendered violence.

  • How effective training can form the basis of a risk management plan and compliance strategy for these issues as well enabling positive cultural change within an organisation.

  • How engaging and interactive training greatly improves the likelihood of harm minimisation and behaviour change within an organisation.

About Adair Donaldson

In 2007, in response to seeing too many young lives ruined by poor decisions, Adair developed his first educational resource for school leavers that aimed to educate them with regards the law and the consequences of ignoring the law.

18 years later this has evolved into education, consultancy and advocacy work on a national level to sporting bodies, peak industry groups, schools, universities and workplaces.

Adair’s focus is always on the law. The training is interactive, entertaining and most importantly, thought provoking. He has delivered sessions to staff on workshop floors, in dongers next to feedlots, in boardrooms and locker rooms. The aim is always to engage with people on their turf where they feel comfortable and to ensure the training is relevant.
